DAY 1 : BEIJING
Arrival Beijing airport. You will be met by your private guide and driver and transfer to the hotel of your choice for a 4 nights stay. After settling in at your hotel, your guide will take you for a city walking tour visiting Tiananmen Square, Great Hall of People, Chairman Mao Mausoleum, and the Forbidden City. Enjoy a Peking Duck lunch. (L)
DAY 2 : BEIJING
Morning to visit the Temple of Heaven followed by a leisurely walk along the cobblestone lanes nearby lined with street artists, teahouses and private shops. Visit the Summer Palace, a grand and sensual palace complex set around the beautiful Kunming Lake, dotted with dozens of halls, pavilions and temples. Your guide will escort you through the wonderful 'Long Corridor' and describe its artistic history. (B, L)
DAY 3 : BEIJING
A day trip outside Beijing to visit the Great Wall of China. Walk along, or ride the cable car, on the wall admiring the panoramic views it offers. Later this day returns to hotel for a refreshing shower. Tonight a cultural performance is included - your choice of peking opera, acrobatics show or puppet show in a local teahouse. (B, L)

DAY 4 : BEIJING

DAY 1 : BEIJING

DAY 2 : BEIJING
Your first visit today is to the Beijing Zoo to meet the giant pandas. Afterwards, enjoy a boat journey on the ancient waterways through Beijing. You will pass numerous bridges & historical monuments and see locals fishing & swimming as you sail by. Visit the Summer Palace, a grand and sensual palace complex set around the beautiful Kunming Lake, dotted with dozens of halls, pavilions and temples. Your guide will escort you through the wonderful 'Long Corridor' and describe its artistic history. After lunch in a local restaurant, drive through the countryside to visit the Great Wall of China. Walk along, or ride the cable car, on the wall admiring the panoramic views it offers.
You will stay overnight in a comfortable boutique hotel within the Wall - one of our recent found which we think you will love! Suite room is included in luxury and deluxe class; standard room is included in superior Class and standard Class. (B, L)
DAY 3 : BEIJING
This morning, as the sun rise gradually over the Wall, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel garden and soak up plenty of atmosphere. You may also want to further walk on this section of the Wall. Later today returns to Beijing and have lunch in a beautiful courtyard restaurant. This afternoon is your choice of activities - you may want to ask your guide to take you for a visit to a local family, a local school, a local market to stock up antiques, ceramics and other inspiring merchandise, or you may wish to visit other cultural sights. Tonight, a cultural performance is included in your program - your choice of peking opera, acrobatics show or puppet show in a traditional teahouse. (B, L)

DAY 4 : BEIJING
Morning begins with a visit to the sacred Temple of Heaven and the Imperial College. Built in 1306, as the highest national academy, it's decorated walls, sandalwood tables carved with dragon in clouds, and stone steles inscribed with the names of every successful candidates who passed the highest rank of imperial examination spanning over 600 years, truely reflects the spirit of education in feudal China.
After lunch in a glamorous lakeside restaurant with special dishes developed from the original imperial receipes, your guide will show you to the hidden charms of Beijing on a rickshaw tour along the city's cobblestone lanes. During the rickshaw ride, you will see the traditional residential houses, the historic Drum Tower, and Prince Gong's Mansion. Tonight, a you will dine in a chic restaurant with superb fusion cuisine. (B, L, D)
